Her blogs are about her daily life as the wife of a ranch and her mother. Between 2009 and 2010, and 2011, the Pioneer Woman was awarded the Weblog of the Year award during the Annual Weblog Awards. Growing up in Bartlesville Oklahoma she studied journalism and gerontology in college.
