Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actress who was famous in the role of Buffy Summers. Her other characters include: Rebecca Becky Granger, in the television film Nightingales and the short-lived NBC show of the same title; Erica Paget as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. A native of California she was attracted to acting as a young girl. She began her acting career by appearing in numerous commercials. She first appeared on the screen in 1984 for an NBCs It's Your Move episode. The big screen debut was 2 years later with the romantic drama Pretty in Pink. Famous for her blonde hair and her breathless voiceSwan is now playing secondary characters in the past few years. Flowers in the Attic earned her the Young Artist Award in the Horror or Mystery Motion Picture category in 1989.
