Jenna Fischer has become best known as Pam Beesly, the character she portrayed on The Office. For her character, she was awarded two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy and an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Her mother, Anne, was a performer in church theater as a child and instilled a passion of theater and performance in Jenna. Jenna was impressed by her mother's performance in church at the time she started her journey.
Fischer was a theatre actress in her own country. She was a part of the Off-Broadway production Reasons to Be Happy that was directed and written by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, as well as Fred Weller. At the Old Globe Theatre's premiere, She starred opposite Greg Germann as well as Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's hilarious comedy Meteor Shower.

She's the author of The Actor's Life The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide (coauthored by Angela Kinsey), in which her story of moving from St. Louis to Hollywood and becoming a working actress is narrated.
